my leather jacket

 what about today?

Not yet. I feel I still have to finish the cheese, the yogurt. How about the old leather jacket? That now I see is equal to wearing the skin of a dead animal on my skin? Skin to skin.

What to do with my leather jacket?

    From this day on I decide to go poco a poco, little by litte, pikkuhiljaa.

I feel that I can't yet go fully vegan, but I try to approach it from a new angle every day from now on.

And I have a confession;

                today I ate cheese.

    But approaching myself from the warmth of empathy and radical self-love, I think I can make it: Baby steps, baby steps.

I think it's easier to start a new page by getting inspired about all the vegan options around me; sweet potatoes, delicious fruits, dark chocolate, veggie meats and all the vast ocean of options I am so lucky to have around me waiting for me to see them.

I struggle but it's ok. It's okay to live life day to day. Sometimes some reflecting is needed and writing down some thoughts, ponderings and wonderings, and try to paint a couple brush strokes to the slowly forming bigger picture that is the puzzle of life.

Today I managed to buy some vegan vitamins that might be needed later. It motivates me, they were not so cheap. Also I am sometimes worried about will I get all the necessary vitamins etc if and when I go vegan. One very special close person to me doesn't stress too much about Thy Vitamins -and I get it. It is also this discourse flooding our socities that being vegan is something "dangerous", because a) we are so meat-focused, b) because we are afraid of change.

Next inspiring thing would be to buy a tall glassbottle of flaxseed oil. Apparently it's a great alternative for omega3, that non-vegans get from fish for example.

xoxo,
